The Sola Planet Indoor Playground in Mianyang, Sichuan, is one of Luckyplay’s most visually striking boutique projects of the year.
Although the venue covers only 339 square meters, its extraordinary 8-meter ceiling height allows the entire space to unfold vertically—creating a dramatic, immersive playground atmosphere rarely seen in compact indoor locations.
This project adopts Luckyplay’s signature Grotesque Music Playground Theme, but with a fresh and more futuristic color palette. The design blends bold shapes, dynamic LED lines, and rhythmic visual elements that resemble sound waves, creating an energetic and surreal “music planet” where children can freely explore.
With an 8-meter vertical dimension, our design team maximized height to create multi-level play structures, towering slides, sky-bridge tunnels, and high-level observation platforms.
The result is a compact indoor playground that feels like a massive adventure world—an impressive example of how Luckyplay transforms restricted floor areas into extraordinary commercial playgrounds.
Key design approaches included:
Vertical stacking of experiences to create a visually layered play system
LED-integrated tubes and façades showcasing the signature grotesque-music aesthetic
Oversized interactive lighting portals that act as visual magnets within the space
Color balancing to ensure the theme feels vibrant but refined
Seamless transitions between ball-pool zones, slides, climbing areas, and themed installations
Every detail—proportion, lighting, materials, flowline—was carefully engineered to enhance immersion and safety while supporting high visitor circulation.
Despite its modest square footage, Sola Planet includes a wide spectrum of high-value indoor playground attractions:
Multi-level soft play system
High-altitude transparent tube slides
LED spiral tunnel slide
Giant ball pool with motion-sensing interactive play
Vertical climbing and challenge obstacles
Themed role-play corners integrated into the structure
Light-responsive decorative installations for photo-worthy moments
Each play element is designed not only for fun but also to support operators with high customer stickiness, photo-sharing incentives, and long-term repeat visits.
Once completed, the Sola Planet playground delivered a perfect 1:1 restoration of the design renderings, showcasing Luckyplay’s engineering precision and construction quality.
The 8-meter height allows the theme to “breathe fully,” creating a sense of grandeur often reserved for large-scale projects.
This case stands as a strong example of how Luckyplay transforms limited spaces into high-impact commercial destinations, proving that small playgrounds can still achieve iconic visual identity, strong entertainment value, and high commercial performance.
